Dalton Dover

An earnest country crooner who is content to occupy a lane in the genre's mainstream middle of the road, Dalton Dover first gained national attention as a contestant on the televised musical competition The Voice in 2019. Following his elimination, he signed with UMG, issuing a series of brightly polished tuneful singles prior to the 2023 release of his debut album Never Giving Up On That. A native of Rome, Georgia, Dalton Dover harbored dreams of a career in music as a child but his plans were derailed when he dropped out of school at the age of 16 to marry his pregant girlfriend. Working blue-collar gigs to support his family, he'd sing whenever he can, finally getting a big break when he was cast on The Voice in 2019. Blake Shelton selected Dover for his team but the singer was eliminated halfway through the season. Despite his early elimination, Dover gained a foothold in the industry. He released a series of independent singles--"That Ain't in Her Plans" arrived in 2019, followed by "Because of the Drinking" and "With All the Memories" in the next two years--before signing with UMG in 2021. The label released "You Got a Small Town" and "Baby I Am" that year, followed quickly by "Hear About the Girl" and "Damn Good Life" in 2022. Dover released the singles "I Wouldn't Be Here," "Giving Up on That," "Night to Go" in 2023, the latter two appearing on Never Giving Up on That, the mini-LP released in September 2023. Dover began his 2024 with a cover of John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads."
