Cuffed Up

Los Angeles combo Cuffed Up plays searing, fuzzed-out post-punk with a strong melodic sense thanks to the intermingling vocals of co-leaders Ralph Torrefranca and Sapphire Jewell. After debuting with an eponymous EP in early 2020, the band returned with a follow-up, Asymmetry, in 2021. Former bandmates Torrefranca and Jewell began writing material together in 2018, taking inspiration from London's burgeoning post-punk scene. Bassist Vic Ordonez and drummer Joe Liptock completed the lineup in 2019 and the band issued a self-titled, self-released EP in February 2020. After signing with Canadian indie Royal Mountain Records, Cuffed Up returned in October of 2021 with their second EP, Asymmetry.
