Chris Kamara
Chris Kamara is a popular TV presenter who, after a spell in the Royal Navy, was spotted playing football and signed for Portsmouth in 1974. After a successful career as a footballer and then a manager, he went on to become a football analyst, presenter and pundit for Sky Sports. He has presented several TV shows including 'Ninja Warrior UK'. Throughout his career, Kamara has taken part in many charity events, and his first musical appearance was on the compilation album 'In a League of Their Own' (2002) which featured various England players and personalities. Kamara sang 'Brown Eyed Girl' which also featured fellow England player Dion Dublin playing the saxophone. Kamara also appeared on the charity single 'Sing 4 England 2012', which became the tournament song for Euro 2012.
Kamara has always enjoyed big band music and has been singing since he was a teenager, often performing in the bar he co-owns in Tenerife. He took part in a celebrity special of the TV show 'All Together Now' in 2018, where his singing talent impressed listeners. He has now launched a bid to become the Christmas number one in 2019 with his debut album 'Here's to Christmas'. The album features several covers of Christmas songs such as 'Let It Snow' and the original Christmas title track written by songwriter Richard Scott.
