Auf ihrem sechsten Soloalbum, dem im Oktober 2014 veröffentlichten Nostalgia, wendet sich die knapp 60jährige Eurythmics-Sängerin Annie Lenox altem Songmaterial zu: Die Platte besteht aus Coverversionen diverser Jazz-, R&B- und Popklassiker. Darunter befinden sich Songs wie das durch Billie Holiday bekanntgewordene "Strange Fruit", die Gershwin-Nummer "Summertime", das in der Ray-Charles-Version unsterbliche "Georgia on My Mind" oder der Screamin'-Jay-Hawkins-Song "I Put a Spell on You". Lennox lässt ihrer vielseitigen Stimme viel Platz in den Arrangements, die mit sanfter Klavierbegleitung, Orchester, gelegentlichem Synthesizer und leichtem Swing ausgestattet wurden. Nostalgia kam an die Spitze der amerikanischen Jazzalbumcharts, während es in Deutschland auf Platz 15 einstieg.
