After having worked with Swedish and Italian record labels, Jori Hulkkonen has found his feet in France and is now on the road to success. F Communications were no doubt swiftly enthralled by the Finn’s Detroit-inspired techno, who wrote his first album Selkäsaari Tracks between September 1995 and April 1996 on the Oulu coast on the edge of the Gulf of Bothnia. The record was first divided into two episodes, published during the summer of 1996, before the release of the unified album Selkäsaari Tracks. Twenty-five years later, F Com has remastered four tracks (out of nine on the album) for a mind-blowing techno EP, a true homage to Underground Resistance with a nordic twist. © Smaël Bouaici/Qobuz
