Le second album de Melody Gardot, My One and Only Thrill, est un délicieux recueil de ballades jazz-pop richement orchestrées, l'œuvre d'une chanteuse compositrice véritablement talentueuse. Son sens de la mélodie a grandement mûri : le titre d'ouverture "Baby I'm a Fool" et "Lover Undercover" ressemblent à de nouveaux standards dans la production. De même, la chanteuse est devenue plus expressive et plus sûre d'elle, et contrôle parfaitement son débit dans un registre voluptueux plus grave, particulièrement adapté à un ronronnement félin à la Julie London, comme sur "Our Love Is Easy". My One and Only Thrill est l'une des meilleures sorties jazz vocal de 2009.

Le second album de Melody Gardot, My One and Only Thrill, est un délicieux recueil de ballades jazz-pop richement orchestrées, l'œuvre d'une chanteuse compositrice véritablement talentueuse. Son sens de la mélodie a grandement mûri : le titre d'ouverture "Baby I'm a Fool" et "Lover Undercover" ressemblent à de nouveaux standards dans la production. De même, la chanteuse est devenue plus expressive et plus sûre d'elle, et contrôle parfaitement son débit dans un registre voluptueux plus grave, particulièrement adapté à un ronronnement félin à la Julie London, comme sur "Our Love Is Easy". My One and Only Thrill est l'une des meilleures sorties jazz vocal de 2009.
