Da sie nun mal unschlagbar sind und ihre Fans unersättlich, na, dann soll das Fest eben weitergehen! Auch wenn es inzwischen von den Rolling Stones unzählige Archive gibt, so ist das im Herbst 2018 erscheinende Album es wert, dass man mit größerer Aufmerksamkeit hinguckt bzw. hinhört. Das im November 1994 im Joe Robbie Stadium in Miami aufgezeichnete Voodoo Lounge Uncut dokumentiert, wie der Titel schon sagt, die Tournee, die sie nach der Veröffentlichung des Voodoo Lounge im Juli desselben Jahres unternommen haben. Es ist ganz klassisch und bietet nichts Neues, ist aber schlagkräftig, wie immer mit dem Zweiergespann Jagger/Richards. Die Shows können noch so übertrieben wirken, in den Ohren klingt doch reinster Rock’n’Roll, ohne Schnörkel und Drumherum. Und auch bei ihren millionen- und abermillionenfach gehörten Hits wie Satisfaction, Sympathy For The Devil, Street Fighting Man, Start Me Up, It's Only Rock 'N' Roll, Brown Sugar, Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Miss You und Honky Tonk Women stehen die Stones mit den Füßen fest auf dem Boden. Zu ihrer elektrischen Fiesta laden sie sogar drei hochkarätige Gäste ein: Sheryl Crow (Live With Me), Robert Cray (Stop Breakin' Down Blues) und Bo Diddley (Who Do You Love?). Albumbeschreibung
Da sie nun mal unschlagbar sind und ihre Fans unersättlich, na, dann soll das Fest eben weitergehen! Auch wenn es inzwischen von den Rolling Stones unzählige Archive gibt, so ist das im Herbst 2018 erscheinende Album es wert, dass man mit größerer Aufmerksamkeit hinguckt bzw. hinhört. Das im November 1994 im Joe Robbie Stadium in Miami aufgezeichnete Voodoo Lounge Uncut dokumentiert, wie der Titel schon sagt, die Tournee, die sie nach der Veröffentlichung des Voodoo Lounge im Juli desselben Jahres unternommen haben. Es ist ganz klassisch und bietet nichts Neues, ist aber schlagkräftig, wie immer mit dem Zweiergespann Jagger/Richards. Die Shows können noch so übertrieben wirken, in den Ohren klingt doch reinster Rock’n’Roll, ohne Schnörkel und Drumherum. Und auch bei ihren millionen- und abermillionenfach gehörten Hits wie Satisfaction, Sympathy For The Devil, Street Fighting Man, Start Me Up, It's Only Rock 'N' Roll, Brown Sugar, Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Miss You und Honky Tonk Women stehen die Stones mit den Füßen fest auf dem Boden. Zu ihrer elektrischen Fiesta laden sie sogar drei hochkarätige Gäste ein: Sheryl Crow (Live With Me), Robert Cray (Stop Breakin' Down Blues) und Bo Diddley (Who Do You Love?).
