Nicht ganz drei Jahre nach dem im Herbst 2016 veröffentlichten Wild World legen Bastille ihr drittes Album vor: Doom Days, erschienen im Juni 2019. Während sich die britische Indie-Band auf dem Vorgänger mit globaler Korruption auseinandersetzte, versuchen die Musiker auf dem aktuellen Album, für einen Moment den Schrecken der Welt zu vergessen und einfach einen Abend mit Freunden zu genießen - die Band nennt die Wichtigkeit von Eskapismus und Hoffnung als Teil ihres Konzepts. Die Musik dazu baut wie zuvor auf hymnische Refrains, lässt aber auch eine stärkere Nähe spüren. Als Singles wurden "Quarter Past Midnight", "Doom Days", "Joy" und "These Nights" ausgekoppelt. Das Album stieg auf Platz 9 in die deutschen Charts ein.

Nicht ganz drei Jahre nach dem im Herbst 2016 veröffentlichten Wild World legen Bastille ihr drittes Album vor: Doom Days, erschienen im Juni 2019. Während sich die britische Indie-Band auf dem Vorgänger mit globaler Korruption auseinandersetzte, versuchen die Musiker auf dem aktuellen Album, für einen Moment den Schrecken der Welt zu vergessen und einfach einen Abend mit Freunden zu genießen - die Band nennt die Wichtigkeit von Eskapismus und Hoffnung als Teil ihres Konzepts. Die Musik dazu baut wie zuvor auf hymnische Refrains, lässt aber auch eine stärkere Nähe spüren. Als Singles wurden "Quarter Past Midnight", "Doom Days", "Joy" und "These Nights" ausgekoppelt. Das Album stieg auf Platz 9 in die deutschen Charts ein.
