Wings Over America ist die erste Liveplatte und das insgesamt fünfte Album von Paul McCartneys zweiter großer Band, den Wings. Es erschien 1976 und wurde während der Nordamerika-Tour im selben Jahr aufgenommen. Ursprünglich als 3-LP-Set und später als Doppel-CD veröffentlicht, funktionert das Album mit über zwei Stunden Spieldauer als ein gesamtes Konzert von Paul McCartney & Wings. Die hier dokumentierte Tour bedeutete damals auch die Rückkehr des Ex-Beatles McCartney nach Amerika, wo er zuletzt 1966 mit eben jener Band live aufgetreten war. Dementsprechend finden sich auf Wings Over America neben McCartney-Solostücken wie "Maybe I'm Amazed" und bekannten Songs der Wings ("Live and Let Die", "Band on the Run") auch einige Beatles-Klassiker wie "Lady Madonna", "Blackbird" und "Yesterday". Nach seiner Veröffentlichung im Dezember 1976 erreichte Wings Over America zu Weihnachten desselben Jahres Platin-Status und Mitte Januar 1977 Platz 1 der amerikanischen Charts. In Deutschland und England landete das Album in den Top Ten, in Österreich reichte es immerhin für Platz 12. Wings Over America wurde 2013 remastered und in verschiedenen Editionen neu aufgelegt – sowohl als CD wie auch als Vinyl und natürlich digital. Am üppigsten ist die Super Deluxe Edition ausgefallen, die neben 4 Büchern mit Fotos, Erinnerungen, Artwork und Memorabilia sowie einer DVD mit einem TV-Special auch eine Bonus-Disc mit einer Live-Aufnahme aus dem Cow Palace in San Francisco enthält.
