2021 legte Mike Leon Grosch mit dem Album Wenn wir uns wiedersehen eine erfolgreiche Comeback-Platte vor – der Sänger wurde 2006 als Zweitplatzierter in der dritten Staffel von Deutschland sucht den Superstar bekannt und brachte sein Debütalbum Absolute auf Platz 2 der Charts, bevor er sich eine Zeitlang zurückzog und mit gesundheitlichen Problemen kämpfte. An die Schlagerpop-Rückkehr knüpft er 2023 mit seiner dritten Platte Tief an, auf der er moderne Schlagerklänge mit Pop, etwas Rock-Flair und emotionalen Balladen mischt. Im Zentrum der Songs steht nach wie vor Groschs raue Stimme, mit der er aus seinem Leben erzählt. Der Song "Himmel und Hölle" wurde als Single ausgekoppelt, die Nummer "Verliebt sein" ist als Duett mit Sonia Liebing aufgenommen.
