Eine Mischung aus französischem Pop und Anleihen aus Folk präsentierte die Sängerin Nolwenn Leroy auf ihrem 2013 erschienenen Longplayer Ô filles de l'eau (Oh Töchter des Wassers). Doch auch eine Vermischung aus keltischen und mittelalterlichen Klängen zeichnen die 13 Songs aus, die die Französin zum Großteil selbst geschrieben hat. Inmitten dieser Symbiose finden sich ergänzend noch sphärische Klänge, gepaart mit Texten zumeist über ihre Heimat, die Bretagne, oder über das Meer ("J'Ai Volé Le Lit De La Mer"), die auch den thematischen Schwerpunkt bilden. Gesungen wird auf Französisch – allerdings zeigt sich manchmal auch das Bretonische, das für stilistische Romantik bzw. Melancholie sorgt.
