The innovative sound and style delivered by Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers has endeared them to many a gospel music follower. Go Get Your Life Back, their follow-up project to the top-selling tri-city4.com, was more than two years in the making. Not to mess with a successful formula, this collection once again features Lawrence and his talented aggregation of singers effectively mixing together live and studio tracks without disrupting the continuity of the musical flow. The project's opening track, "The Best Is Yet to Come"," will remind fans of the choir's smash hit, "Never Send the Righteous," with its heavy-hitting beats. Making guest appearances are contemporary gospel great Walter Hawkins, who gives a landmark performance on the heartfelt ballad "Seasons." Former Sounds of Blackness vocalist Ann Nesby doesn't disappoint either with her performance on the project's title track. Giving the project a nice urban balance are the tracks "I Can't Complain," "Miracle," "Keep Blessing Me," and "Gonna Be Alright." Those with an ear for high-powered choir music will thoroughly enjoy this one.
