Sehnt sich jemand nach Led Zeppelin? Nicht schlimm, es gibt Rival Sons und sie tun mehr als Löcher stopfen. Man täte der Gang aus Long Beach unrecht, sie bloß für Klone des Zweiergespanns Robert Plant/Jimmy Page zu halten. Vor allem deswegen, weil diese von Jay Buchanan angeführten, langmähnigen Kalifornier sich in den zehn Jahren nicht damit zufrieden gaben, Blues und Heavy Rock in ein Fusion-Music-Magma zu tauchen. Bis zum Gehtnichtmehr sägende Gitarrenriffs, wummernde Rhythmen und ausgehungerte Gesangspartien, damit feiern Rival Sons den zeitlosen Rock im Mainstream-Sound. Dave Cobb hat dieses sechste Album produziert und dabei tut er nie so, als würde er gerade das Rad erfinden, sondern er versucht, es auf Höchstgeschwindigkeit zu bringen.
