Judith & Mel

Judith & Mel are a folk music singing duo from Germany. The duo is the married couple Judith and Mel Jersey. Mel Jersey celebrated his first musical successes as a solo artist and composer for well-known pop artists such as Roy Black, Lena Valaitis, Florian Silbereisen, Stefan Mross and Andy Borg. It was not until the mid-1980s that Mel Jersey and his wife started out as Judith & Mel. Their first single together, "Ich habe mich heut Nacht an dich verloren", was released in 1984. The duo achieved greater fame through their appearance at the Gran Prix der Volksmusik in 1990 with the song "Land im Norden". In total, Judith & Mel competed nine times at the Grand Prix of Folk Music. At the same time, the duo regularly released albums with folk music songs. From the 2010s onwards, Judith & Mel became quieter. In 2023, Best Of - Die große Jubiläumsausgabe, a retrospective of Judith & Mel's musical work, follows. The album reaches number 81 in the German charts.
