Gospel singer Rance Allen enjoyed some crossover soul success in the early '70s, recording on Stax's Gospel Truth label. His explosive, soaring voice was especially effective on upper-register notes and inspirational ballads. This was one of his biggest albums, especially the single "I Belong To You."
