Manch einer mag sich fragen, ob er sich diese Gelegenheitsmusiken aus der Feder von Heinrich Schütz wirklich antun sollte. Ja unbedingt! Mit dieser vorletzten CD der wahrlich ambitionierten Schütz-Gesamteinspielung offenbart sich ein fast unbekannter Zug des großen Komponisten. Er konnte nicht bloß geistlich, sondern richtete seine weltliche Musik nach Bedarf auch mal spöttisch augenzwinkernd ein wie in „Itzt blicken durch des Himmels Saal“ oder recht keck wie in „Liebster, sagt in süßem Schmerzen“. Man vergisst dies allzu leicht, weil, wie im Booklet zu Recht angesprochen, unser Schütz-Bild doch arg einseitig auf den alten und ernsten Kirchenmusiker fokussiert ist. Nicht nur die unscheinbaren Strophenlieder, sondern auch die beiden Ersteinspielungen auf dieser CD stellen eine Facette dar, die ein Teil des Schütz-Bilds sein sollte.
Wie vielfältig auch die weltliche Musik von Schütz versorgt wurde – wahrscheinlich orientiert am Geldbeutel des Auftraggebers oder an der persönlichen Nähe zu den Besungenen –, belegen neben den kleinbesetzten Stücken auch diejenigen, die sogar mit Doppelchörigkeit aufwarten. Auf gehörige Prachtentfaltung braucht also niemand zu verzichten. Es ist fast schon überflüssig, darauf hinzuweisen, dass Hans-Christoph Rademann wie immer hervorragende Sänger und Instrumentalisten um sich geschart hat, die – wunderbar aufeinander eingestimmt – nur als Idealbesetzung bezeichnet werden können. Dass Dorothee Mields durch ihre stets klare Diktion und große Natürlichkeit der Stimmgebung trotzdem noch positiv auffällt, verdankt sich auch den beiden Kompositionen, in denen sie zusammen mit dem genauso vorzüglichen Felix Schwandtke duettierend alle ihre gestalterischen Vorzüge ausspielen kann.
