Mit seiner Band Urban Light schaffte es der spanisch-deutsche Popmusiker Álvaro Soler immerhin ins Finale einer Castingshow, wo der Sänger von Universal entdeckt und unter Vertrag genommen wurde. Mit Eterno agosto ("Ewiger August") veröffentlichte er 2015 sein Debütalbum, dessen Single "El mismo sol" (produziert von Juli-Gitarrist und -Songwriter Simon Triebel) in Italien und der Schweiz an die Spitze der Charts kam und auf YouTube Millionen von Klicks erzielte. Der Sound dieser Erfolgsnummer zieht sich durch das Album durch: Zu beschwingten Flamenco-Rhythmen und spanischen Popklängen werden sommerliche Ohrwürmer gesungen (z.B. die zweite Single "Sofia"), dazwischen gibt es die eine oder andere Ballade ("Lucia").
