Pete RG

Prior to launching a solo career in 2012, indie singer/songwriter Pete RG was the longtime frontman for veteran Los Angeles pop/Americana outfit Last December. Working under his given name, Peter Argyropoulos, he formed Last December in the late '90s, shepherding the band through a major-label deal, numerous placements on popular television shows, and two major releases including 2007's well-regarded Hailstorm LP. With the bandmembers growing apart in the late 2000s, Argyropoulos turned to production and composing for television while quietly working on a batch of new songs that would eventually feature on his solo debut, New Eyes. Reintroducing himself under the shortened moniker of Pete RG, he emerged with a thoughtful, well-crafted pop sound in the vein of acts like the War on Drugs and the National. Following a 2013 Christmas single and a pair of 2015 EPs -- Lightning Strikes and Reaching for the Moon -- RG delivered his sophomore full-length, Tender Souls, in late 2016.
