Ángel Parra
Luis Angel Cereceda Parra, who went by the name Angel Parra, was a Chilean folk singer-songwriter, the son of famed Chilean singer-songwriter Violetta Parra. His sister Isabel Parra is an accomplished folk singer and his son, also Angel Parra, played guitar in the band Los Tres. He was musical director of the folk music group Quilapayún for a time. He lived in exile from Chile during the Pinochet dictatorship, performed around the world, and died in Paris aged 73. His albums include 'Solo el amor' (2006) with the track 'Puedo escribir los versos mas tristes' written with poet Pablo Neruda.
