Le temps passe et le lien qui existe entre Gregg Allman et la ville de Macon, dans l’Etat de Géorgie, reste intact, et toujours aussi fort, représentant 40 ans de carrière. Le lieu représente en effet l’origine du Allman Brothers Band et reste un puit de souvenir intarissable pour le musicien américain qui y a d’ailleurs écrit une grande partie de ses chansons. L’album représente donc un émouvant retour aux sources puisqu’il capture la performance du 14 janvier 2014 donnée par Gregg Allman dans cette ville qui lui est si chère. Il l’affirme lui-même : lui et ses musiciens étaient « en feu » ce soir-là, délivrant un blues/rock qui n’a pas pris une ride et qu’il interprète toujours avec autant de passion dans la voix et dans les doigts.
