Vice Ganda

Jose Marie Borja Viceral, widely recognized as Vice Ganda, was born on March 31, 1976, in Manila, Philippines. He initiated his career as a stand-up comedian in Manila's comedy bars during the late 1990s, captivating audiences with his distinctive humor and wit. His considerable breakthrough arrived in 2009 when he joined ABS-CBN's noontime variety show, It's Showtime. A year later, Vice Ganda ventured into the film industry, assuming substantial roles in Petrang Kabayo and The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin, establishing his prominence in Filipino cinema and laying the groundwork for a series of box office successes. Vice Ganda also cultivated a career as a musician, performing in numerous major concerts that highlighted his musical abilities. In 2011, he unveiled his first studio album, Lakas Tama, and then a self-titled album in 2013, featuring the hit single "Karakaraka." His 2014 album, #Trending, achieved gold record status within its first week and tackled social issues like gender inequality and corruption. Vice Ganda continued to release popular singles such as "Wag Kang Pabebe" in 2015 and "Ang Kulit" in 2016, with the latter serving as the soundtrack for his record-breaking film. He further contributed to the music scene with the 2017 ballad "Hanggang Kailan Aasa" and the pop single "Gigil si Aquo," followed by "Ganda for All" in 2018 and "Kay Sayang Pasko Na Naman" in 2019. By 2023, Vice Ganda's illustrious career had garnered him over 80 awards, earning him the reputation of being one of the Philippines' most influential celebrities. His significant accomplishments include a spot on Forbes Asia's Top 100 Digital Stars list. In 2023, he also launched the single "Rampa," attesting to his enduring influence in the music industry.
