Stephanie Ho
Stephanie Ho, born November 2, 1992, ascended to television and music fame in Hong Kong before she was 30. She began formal music studies as a young teenager, and simultaneously became one of the greatest young golfers in Hong Kong. Leaving behind a promising professional career in sports, Ho competed in 2009 on the singing contest show The Voice, receiving her first big break. Her debut Cantopop album, 2014’s Step came out on MusicNext, but dropped them the next year for Voice Entertainment who guided her recording career toward a series of successful theme songs to television shows, including the legal drama series Raising the Bar, on which she was a cast member. She became so in demand as an actress that her second album, Lost In Love, did not come out until 2017. She has been nominated for numerous acting awards during the course of her early career, and snagged several Best New Artists awards with her early recordings. A high-profile relationship with fellow singer Fred Cheng caused her press scrutiny, and she talked later about how stressful that period was for her. She would go on to major roles on the programs Recipes to Live By in 2017 and Succession War in 2018 and record the theme songs for many more projects.
