Rori

A pop singer, Camille Gemoets aka Rori was born in the Liège region in 1998. Her career began with the duo she formed with Valentin Vincent under the name Beffroi. She was 16 at the time. Her husky, powerful voice and intoxicating electro-pop sound got them noticed right from the first single " Swim " released in 2015, and "95-96 " released in 2017. These singles gave them access to great stages such as the Botanique in Brussels and the Dour Festival. Valentin passed away following an illness in December 2017. A posthumous self-titled EP will be released in 2019. Rori decides to pursue solo music and quickly makes a name for herself, with a first pop single in English, "Truth Hurts ", in 2020. Single after single, her style evolves towards a stronger identity, between electro and rock. She sings in French, tackling often difficult subjects such as depression, her disconnect from the world and mental health problems. Her repertoire is intimate, universal and powerful. Her track "Docteur", released in 2022, was a hit that quickly racked up two million streams. In January 2023, she performed at the Eurosonic Festival in the Netherlands, presented by the Wallonie-Bruxelles delegation. Her remarkable performance led to the release of her first EP, entirely in French, with Warner. Ma Saison en Enfer was released in February 2023.
