Jacynthe

Born Jacynthe Millette-Bilodeau on September 13, 1979 in Quebec City (Canada), Jacynthe is a pop singer from Quebec. She released her first album in 1998, entitled I Got What It Takes, including her first French-language radio single " Encore une fois ". In English Canada, it was her songs " Give It Up " and " This Is the Night " that got her on many of the country's talk shows. The following year, with the opus Entends-Tu Mon Coeur, she placed three songs on the Quebec charts: " Chaque fois ", the title track, and a French version of her English-language title " Give It Up ", which reached number one. In 2000, she produced a Christmas album called 12 * 25 , containing seven English and six French songs. Seize the Day was released in 2003. The title track and " Look Who's Crying Now " reach the top 10 of the English-language charts in Canada. In 2006, Jacynthe sang on Cirque du Soleil's U.S. tour, Delirium . In April 2011, she released the album Dévoile Qui Tu Es, on which four songs reached the top 10 of the Quebec radio charts, including the title track, " Don't Touch Those Faders ", " Stereo " and a cover of a 1980s song by Michel Pagliaro, " L'espion ". In the 2010s, she became an elementary school English teacher in Laval (Canada). In 2018, she reprised France Gall's " Papillon de nuit ". In May 2021, she runs for city councillor for the Action Laval party. In the November election, she finished 4th in her district.
