Black Sun Ensemble
Black Sun Ensemble was a short-lived psychedelic rock band, consisting of founding members Jesus Acedo and Odin Helginson, as well as Michael Glidiwell and Tony Edelbrock. Hailing from Tucson, Arizona, Black Sun Ensemble originally formed in 1988, the same year the quartet issued a self-titled debut for the Reckless label. Further releases soon followed, 1989's Lambent Flame, 1990's Tragic Magic, and 1991's Elemental Forces, before the group split up. Not much was heard from Black Sun Ensemble until 2000, when a pair of new releases, 2000's Sky Pilot and a 2001 reissue of their self-titled release suddenly appeared. Jesus Acedo died in March 2013 at the age of 50.
