Alireza Ghorbani
Born, depending on the source, in 1972 or 1973, Iranian singer Alireza Ghorbani is considered the successor to the great master Mohammad Reza Shadjarian. Literally fascinated by his country's traditional classical music from an early age, he learned to master its subtleties and instruments through solid studies. He became popular in the 2000s, however, composing soundtracks for local TV series. Also soloist with the National Orchestra of Iran, Alireza Ghorbani began performing outside Iran in 2006. In France, he made a name for himself in 2010 with the album Les Chants Brûlés - Songs of Rebirth - Hommage à Rûmi, released on the Accords Croisés label. In 2011, Alireza Ghorbani collaborates with Dorsaf Hamdani on Ivresse - Le Sacre de Kayyam. A vocal virtuoso, Alireza Ghorbani once again regales international audiences with the album Éperdument...Chants d'Amour Persans, released in 2015.
