Im Jahre 1973 und damit drei Jahre nach ihrer Trennung erscheint diese Compilation, die allgemein als das "Blaue Album" bekannt ist, zeitgleich mit seinem roten Zwilling und ernthält, wie der Name schon andeutet, 28 Songs, die in den Jahren zwischen 1967 und 1970 entstanden sind. Diese Compilation ist damit voll von Songs der zweiten Periode der Fab Four, die man schon bei Nennung der Songtitel noch einmal genießen kann: Strawberry Fields Forever, Penny Lane, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Lucy In The Sky with Diamonds, A Day In The Life, All You Need Is Love, I Am the Walrus, Magical Mystery Tour, Hey Jude, Back In The U.S.S.R., While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Here Comes The Sun, Come Together, Let It Be oder auch Across The Universe.
