Zwischen 1721 bis 1751 bestimmte Johan Helmich Roman wesentlich die Geschicke der Stockholmer Hofkapelle. In den langsamen Sätzen seiner zwölf Sonaten webte er Stimmungen sehr fein, sanft und breit, die schnellen Sätze bleiben frei von Draufgängertum, gelingen ohne Verzerrungen, auch dank der stimmigen Tempo-Wahl. Das Zusammenspiel von Dan Laurin und Paradiso Musicale lässt kaum Wünsche offen, vor allem in Rhythmik und Dynamik. Solist und Ensemble stiften sich gegenseitig an, mal klingt es elegant, mal nervös, mal ausgelassen spritzig. Aufnahmetechnisch lässt die Produktion nichts zu wünschen übrig, der Klang ist hell, natürlich, räumlich.

Albumbeschreibung

Zwischen 1721 bis 1751 bestimmte Johan Helmich Roman wesentlich die Geschicke der Stockholmer Hofkapelle. In den langsamen Sätzen seiner zwölf Sonaten webte er Stimmungen sehr fein, sanft und breit, die schnellen Sätze bleiben frei von Draufgängertum, gelingen ohne Verzerrungen, auch dank der stimmigen Tempo-Wahl. Das Zusammenspiel von Dan Laurin und Paradiso Musicale lässt kaum Wünsche offen, vor allem in Rhythmik und Dynamik. Solist und Ensemble stiften sich gegenseitig an, mal klingt es elegant, mal nervös, mal ausgelassen spritzig. Aufnahmetechnisch lässt die Produktion nichts zu wünschen übrig, der Klang ist hell, natürlich, räumlich.
