Le mouvement "Not yet dead" a été lancé à Kiev en 2014, unissant, encourageant, supportant et affirmant la légitimité des Ukrainiens à s’élever contre le pouvoir dictatorial et impérial remettant en cause les libertés civiles et la souveraineté de leur pays. L’élaboration chorale de Silvestrov comprend de nouveaux cycles dont la base textuelle est constituée de ballades et chansons du grand poète ukrainien Taras Shevchenko (1814-1861) maintes fois mises en musique — certaines ayant même atteint le statut de chansons folkloriques. © ECM New Series/Universal Music France
