Mit dem Anfang 2019 erschienenen The End of Chaos legen Flotsam and Jetsam ihr mittlerweile dreizehntes Studioalbum und den Nachfolger zur zweieinhalb Jahre zuvor veröffentlichten selbstbetitelten Platte vor. Die Band aus Arizona, die sich schon seit 1981 mit kernigem Thrash Metal einen Namen in der Szene machte, pflegt auch hier wieder ihre Mischung aus sägenden Gitarrenriffs, galoppierenden Rhythmen (als Drummer ersetzt Ken Mary den zu Overkill abgewanderten Jason Bittner) und dem charakteristischen Gesang von Frontmann Eric Knutson. Als Singles wurden die Songs "Recover", "Demolition Man" und "Control" vorab vorgestellt. Das Album kam auf Platz 19 der deutschen Charts.
