Die Band Celtic Woman wurde 2004 zusammengestellt, um traditionelle keltische Lieder und moderne Songs im irischen New-Age-Folk-Gewand zu präsentieren. Über die Jahre änderte sich die Besetzung immer wieder, und auch das zehnte Studioalbum Destiny wartet mit zwei neuen Musikerinnen auf: Zu Sängerin Susan McFadden und Violinistin Máiréad Nesbitt gesellen sich Celtic-Newcomer Mairead Carlin und Éabha McMahon hinzu. Zu den Stücken zählen diesmal das irische Protestlied "Óró Sé Do Bheatha 'Bhaile" (mit Gastauftritt der ehemaligen Celtic Woman Méav Ní Mhaolchatha), der Ed-Sheeran-Song "I See Fire" (aus dem zweiten Hobbit-Kinofilm), das Thema des Rollenspiels "Skyrim" und das Waterboys-Lied "The Whole of the Moon". Auf "Tír na nÓg" ist auch die deutsche Ethno-Pop-Sängerin Oonagh als Gast zu hören.
