Texas Hill
A vocal harmony group who revives the smooth sounds of 1980s country in a fashion similar to Midland, Texas Hill contains two veterans from music reality show competitions. Both Adam Wakefield and Craig Wayne Boyd are veterans of The Voice -- the latter took home the crown in the show's seventh season -- while Casey James appeared on American Idol. After each attempted a solo career, they joined forces as Texas Hill, releasing their debut album Heaven Down Here in 2022.
Casey James and Craig Wayne Boyd both hail from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, giving them an additional bond outside of their time in music television. The pair struck up a friendship in 2019, inviting Wakefield into the fold not much later. Struck by their chemistry and harmonies, the trio formed Texas Hill, debuting with an eponymous EP in 2020. The live mini-LP Stabal Session and a holiday EP called Christmas Carols, Vol. 1 both followed in 2021. Texas Hill teamed UP with Anderson East's supporting band to cut Heaven Down Here, an easy-rolling studio debut album that arrived halfway through 2022.
