PawanDeep Rajan

Pawandeep Rajan is a multi-lingual Indian composer, playback singer, and reality TV star. He was born on April 27, 1996, in Champawat, Uttarakhand, and raised by an artistic family whose members included folk singers Suresh Rajan and Kabutari Devi. Trained to play tabla at a young age, he began singing during his teenage years and auditioned for the first season of The Voice India shortly after his nineteenth birthday. He was declared the show's winner in August 2015 and released his debut single, "Yakeen," that same year. Beginning with the 2017 film Romeo-N-Bullet, he also enjoyed a career as a playback singer, performing songs in multiple languages — including Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, and Marathi — for movies like 2019's Diwali and 2020's Satrangi Jhala Re. Pawandeep Rajan attracted equal attention as a composer, releasing self-penned songs like "Tu hi bata" and "Haye Tero Mijata" throughout 2020. One year later, he participated in the twelfth season of Indian Idol and finished the show in first place. Rajan's time on Indian Idol significantly expanding his popularity in his home country and paved the way for successful singles like "Dekha Tujhe Toh Lagaa" and "Jai Ho Bhole," both of which were released in 2022.
