Noah Thompson
Singer Noah Thompson is a country artist best known as the winner of Season 20 of American Idol. He debuted in 2022 with his single "One Day Tonight."
Born April 18, 2002 in Louisa, Kentucky, Thompson was introduced to music at a young age by his father, who taught him how to play guitar. As a teenager, he began posting covers of country songs to social media and continued to pursue music while working construction. A friend eventually encouraged him to audition for American Idol, which he did, successfully performing "Giving You Up" by Kameron Marlowe. While on the show, he built a fan base with his humble, "aw shucks" charm and country vocal style, tackling songs by Harry Styles, Ben. E. King, John Mayer, Fleetwood Mac, and others. On the May 22, 2022 American Idol finale (during which he performed Bruce Springsteen's "I'm On Fire"), Thompson was declared the winner, after which he released his single "One Day Tonight."
