Nikhil D'Souza

Born November 21, 1981 in Mumbai, India, Nikhil D’Souza is an acoustic and alternative pop/rock singer, songwriter who is also associated with the Filmi genre, which is music written for the Indian film industry. D’Souza grew up in Mumbai and majored in Geology in college before reigniting his passion for music. He began writing for films in 2010, composing or performing songs for four films including Aisha, Crook, Break Ke Baad, and Anjaana Anjaani. With over two dozen songs in nearly as many films over a 10 year period, D’Souza is a prolific composer. He’s also released songs outside of films including “Silver and Gold” and “Beautiful Mind”. He released the popular single “Vaast” in 2019.
