MssingNo

London-based producer Mssingno takes samples and elements from the world of R&B before laying them over his own brand of bass and rave tracks. Mssingno caught the attention of the music industry in 2013 after releasing an eponymous EP. His ethereal, club-ready take on R&B caused quite a stir, particularly on the singles "Skeezers" and "XE2," the latter of which was named track of the year by Mixmag. Soon after, he took a brief hiatus, re-emerging a few years later with a more refined sound and a steadier output. Growing up, Mssingno knew that one day he wanted to produce music, a passion which he pursued for a few years for other artists. That changed in 2013, when his debut EP appeared on Goon Club Allstars. After causing an initial splash, he receded into the background, reappearing in 2015 when he signed to XL. From there his name kept surfacing, sometimes as a remix artist -- including remixes for Cashmere Cat and Shura -- and in other instances as a collaborator, including work with Katy B, Torey Lanez, and G-Eazy. His second EP, Fones, appeared on XL in 2016, demonstrating a more refined production style; the EP was joined later in the year by the release of a mixtape, M1 Personal Trainer. Off the back of those releases, Mssingno played several dates around the U.K., often alongside Evian Christ, Laurel Halo, and Actress.
