mansionz
A side project between Mike Posner and Mat Musto (aka Blackbear), Mansionz are known for their electronic-based hip-hop- and R&B-influenced pop. They debuted in 2017 with Mansionz, followed by 2023's Mansionz 2.
Hailing from Los Angeles, Mansionz was formed in 2016 by singer/songwriter Posner and singer/producer Blackbear. Established solo performers, Posner and Blackbear have a creative partnership that extends as far back as 2012, when they collaborated on writing Justin Bieber's single "Boyfriend." From there, they eventually formulated the Mansionz concept. Signing to Island Records in 2016, they released the singles "STFU" (featuring Spark Master Tape) and "White Girls," the former of which cracked the Top Ten of Billboard's R&B Digital Song Sales chart. In 2017, the duo released their debut full-length studio album, Mansionz, which hit 67 on the Billboard 200. Following an extended hiatus, the pair returned in October 2023 with their sophomore full-length, Mansionz 2.
