Mixing high energy dancefloor beats, aggressive flows, and nonstop hooks, French rapper Gambino creates a lively sound perfect for keeping the party going long into the night. After releasing a slew of singles, Gambino offered up his first album-length collection with 2021's Galaxia. Gambino grew from the Marseille rap scene, and began releasing music around 2016 with a lengthy string of singles like "On est Day" and "La Grinta." From the beginning, the rapper obscured his face with a mask in all public photos, adding an element of mystery to his otherwise extroverted sound. He had some significant breakthroughs when he scored a feature on JUL's 2018 track "VNTM," and again in 2019 when his song "Alicante" was streamed tens of millions of times. Gambino released new music at a steady clip throughout 2020, surpassing a million streams with tracks like "Miami City," "Palmiers ou favelas," and "Porto Rico." In 2021 he released debut album Galaxia on his own label Total N'Dé Production, and the album charted in France.
