After completing his master's in 2014, Perez moved to London and enrolled at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, earning a master's degree in 2016 and an artist's diploma in 2018. His teachers in piano accompaniment there were Pamela Lidiard and Julius Drake, and he served as accompanist in the studio of Janice Chapman. Perez earned several more prizes in Britain, including the Gerald Moore Prize for accompanists and the Accompanist's Prize at the Bampton Young Singers Competition. In London, he founded his own vocal recital series, re-sung, and in 2019-2020, he was the Lord and Lady Lurgan Collaborative Piano Fellow at the Royal College of Music. Perez made his recording debut in 2021 on an album of Brahms' Liebeslieder-Walzer, Opp. 52 and 65.
