Ariane Roy

Ariane Roy is a singer-songwriter, born on March 19, 1997 and originally from Quebec City, Canada. In 2019, she released her first song, "Adèle". That same year, she won the ROSEQ prize and the Pauline-Julien bursary in the "Destination Chanson fleuve" competition at the Festival en chanson de Petite-Vallée. She was a finalist at the Festival international de la chanson de Granby, where she won two prizes. In 2020, the singer-songwriter releases her first EP, Avalanche (n.f.) , and is nominated in the EP Pop category at the Gala alternatif de la musique indépendante du Québec (GAMIQ). In 2020, she was a finalist at the Francouvertes 2020, where she unveiled the song "Ta main", which also made her a finalist for the Prix de la chanson SOCAN. In 2021, she is crowned Révélation Radio-Canada chanson 2021-2022 and wins the Slaight Music award for an emerging songwriter from the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. In February 2022, she released her debut album medium plaisir. That same year, she receives the Prix André Dédé Fortin from SPACQ and the Prix collégial de la chanson de l'année for "Ce n'est pas de la chance", awarded by RIASQ in collaboration with ADISQ. She receives two nominations at the Gala de l'ADISQ for Pop Album of the Year, and another at the Prix GAMIQ in the same category. Ariane Roy is crowned Revelation of the Year at ADISQ 2022.
