Aidan Moffat & The Best Ofs
Aidan Moffat, a native of the small city of Falkirk, Scotland, first gained notice as one-half of the 1990s U.K. indie duo Arab Strap. After he and partner Malcolm Middleton split in 2001, Moffat experimented with electronic pop under the pseudonym Lucky Pierre (later L. Pierre), releasing three albums under that name as well as a strange 2007 spoken-word album about the end of a relationship, I CAN HEAR YOUR HEART. In 2008, he formed a four-piece indie rock band called Aidan Moffat and the Best-Ofs. Their first album, HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN FROM SCOTLAND, was released in spring 2009.
