Theoretical Girl
Theoretical Girl is the project of Amy Eleanor Turnnidge, who, along with her backing band the Equations, makes music that blends synth pop cool, girl group innocence, and occasionally folky melodies. Originally hailing from Southend-on-Sea, England, Theoretical Girl relocated to London's Muswell Hill and released singles such as "Red Mist" and appeared on compilations such as Digital Penetration and a collection from the aptly named Angular Records. Theoretical Girl signed to Salvia/XL late in 2007, and "The Hypocrite" single was released early the following year. She moved to Memphis Industries for her debut album, Divided, which was released in summer 2009.
