Marcia
The award-winning singer Márcia has performed with names like Baden Powell, Vinícius de Moraes, Eduardo Gudin, and Paulo César Pinheiro, having launched Johnny Alf's "Eu e a Brisa." She was the crooner of Erlon Chaves' orchestra. In 1958, she was hired by TV Tupi and, two years later, moved to Porto Alegre, where she worked in radio. In that period, she won several awards as best singer in radio and TV. Returning to São Paulo, she continued to perform and, in 1965, won the Berimbau de Ouro award for her performance at the I FMPB with "Miss Biquíni." In 1967, she presented Johnny Alf's "Eu e a Brisa" (later one of her biggest hits) at the I FMPB. Her first LP, Eu e a Brisa, came out in 1968. In 1972, she performed several times in Portugal with Vinícius de Moraes and Baden Powell. In 1974, together with Eduardo Gudin and Paulo César Pinheiro, she had durable success on the CD O Importante é Que a Nossa Emoção Sobreviva, which was repeated in 1996 with Tudo o Que Mais Nos Uniu.
