Klondike Blonde

Bicoastal rapper Klondike Blonde delivers her cheeky, confrontational lyrics in a playful sing-song style. Debuting in 2017, she scored a viral hit the following year with the single "Drip" and its associated dance challenge. Born in Raleigh, North Carolina and raised in California's Bay Area -- where she attended middle and high school -- Blonde learned sound engineering in a special class and spent her spare time recording in her school's studio. After graduating high school, she returned to the east coast, relocating to Atlanta to pursue music full-time. There, she made attempts to break into the industry, issuing her first single online in February 2017, marking her first appearance as Klondike Blonde. She followed with "Big Gang Glocks" and "Love Letter," which helped her garner a wider grassroots audience. It wasn't until the release of 2018's "Drip" that she reached an even larger audience. The song was picked up by Michigan rap/dance duo Ayo & Teo, who started a viral dance challenge. With the fresh exposure, Blonde signed with L.A. Reid's Hitco label, releasing singles "Klondike" and "No Smoke" to cap off her breakthrough year.
