HVME
Spanish producer HVME hit big in 2020 with his future house rework of Travis Scott's single "Goosebumps," which was successful enough that Scott collaborated with the producer on a remix of the track.
Born in Murcia, Spain, HVME (pronounced "hume") began producing tracks influenced by future house and deep house in 2016. He recorded a dance cover of Travis Scott's 2016 single "Goosebumps," which originally featured a guest verse by Kendrick Lamar; HVME's version focused on Scott's vocal hooks and affixed them to a dark, thumping beat. Dance label Lithuania HQ released HVME's track in 2020, and it became an international hit, joining a growing trend of club- and radio-friendly reworks of hip-hop and R&B hits, such as Imanbek's remix of SAINt JHN's "Roses" or Regard's version of Jay Sean's "Ride It." After HVME's "Goosebumps" charted in a dozen European countries, Scott jumped on a remix, which appeared in January of 2021 and became a hit in additional countries including the United States, Canada, and Australia.
