Crumb
Crumb is an indie rock band from the United States. The group was formed in Boston, Massachusetts by guitarist and vocalist Lila Ramani, bassist and vocalist Jesse Brotter, drummer Jonathan Gilad, and keyboardist/saxophonist Bri Arrow. Crumb was formed in 2016, after the members of the group had been attending Tufts University. They had been playing together often, but only started approaching the project in earnest when they began collaborating on a collection of songs that Lila Ramani had written during high school and college. This led to the group releasing their first EP, 2016’s Crumb, followed by a second EP titled Locket the following year. These independent releases led to a surge of fan interest in the group, which only increased after the release of their debut full-length album Jinx in 2019. The album was praised by critics and gained the band a larger following. In March 2021, Crumb released the single “Trophy,” a new song from their upcoming release Ice Melt. The full album was released on April 30. Crumb’s second album features a further refinement of their sound, evident on songs such as the title track “Ice Melt,” which closes out the album on a laid-back, psychedelic note.
