大象體操

Elephant Gym is a Taiwanese math rock band that formed in Kaohsiung. Bassist KT Chang, guitarist Tell Chang, and drummer Chia-Chin Tu launched the band in February 2012. As young siblings, KT and Tell received classical musical training during their childhood and eventually met Chia-Chin in high school. Their first single, "Ordinary Route," allowed the band to launch a national tour in 2012, and Elephant Gym released an EP, Balance, in May 2013. Balance featured the single "Ocean in the Night," a collaboration with Touming Magazine frontman Hong-shen Hong. Another collaborative track, "Speaking in Tongues," followed in 2014, this time guest vocals from One Million Star winner Yoga Lin. That summer, Elephant Gym released Angle, a full-length debut album that earned the band eight nominations (and one win for "Best Style Category Album") at the 5th Golden Indie Music Awards. Despite the momentum, Elephant Gym announced a year-long hiatus starting in December 2014, with the musicians using the break to complete their compulsory military service. Operations resumed in 2016 with the Japanese release of Angle, a performance at the Summer Sonic Festival, and the arrival of a new EP, Work. Underwater, the band's second album, followed in 2018, along with international tour dates that included a performance at South By Southwest in America. One year later, the band released the single "Gaze at Blue" and received a Golden Indie Music Award for "Best Band." Elephant Gym continued releasing albums like 2022's Dreams and 2023's World, then reached number 63 on the Top 100 Hot Songs JWAVE chart with "Feather" in 2024.
