Sabri

Hailing from Brussels, Belgium, the former professional basketball player Sabri Riahi purveys slick, trap-inspired R&B and pop. Born in 1997, Sabri was 19 when played point guard for Belfius Mons-Hainaut in the Belgium-Pro Basketball League. A personal tragedy found him back in Brussels in 2016 when he stepped away from the professional game. A flurry of musical activity led to the formation of BW, with Alhoumekani Nezare, and within three months of its appearance online their infectious track "Oh Na Na" had amassed three million streams. In 2019, Sabri turned his focus toward a solo music career releasing two singles -- "Elle m'a piqué" and "C'est nous" -- late that year on KVZ. 12 months later he was signed by Polydor, which issued the reflective, brightly toned track "Bendo." Sabri closed that year with "Fou de toi" and started 2021 with the passion-fueled "Sauna." That July, Polydor issued his debut EP, Elles, a seven-track affair with each song reputedly written about a different romantic relationship. 2022 brought "Ça va aller," a collaboration with French rapper Udeyfa, and an early 2023 single, "Vie," made use of a broader production palette than previous material.
