Nils Hoffmann
German producer Nils Hoffmann has been developing his warm, melodic style of progressive house since the early 2010s. Releasing music on labels like Poesie Musik and Anjunadeep, his style has become more intricate and vocal-driven over the years. He scored a major streaming hit with "Breathing," his 2019 single with Ben Böhmer and Malou, and released the full-lengths Once in a Blue Moon (2020) and A Radiant Sign (2022).
Berlin-based Nils Hoffmann is a classically trained pianist who counts Trentemøller and Paul Kalkbrenner among his influences, as well as Yann Tiersen and Bon Iver. After releasing a 2011 single called "Balloons," his debut vinyl EP, Verwunschen, appeared on Lochmann Records in 2012. A reworked "Balloons" came out in 2013, and Hoffmann continued releasing material, including more vocal-driven songs such as "You" and "Time." 2019's "Breathing" (with Ben Böhmer and Malou) appeared on Anjunadeep, and Poesie Musik issued the 2020 full-length Once in a Blue Moon, as well as its accompanying remixes. Hoffmann returned to Anjunadeep with 2022's A Radiant Sign, his second album, which featured guests such as Niklas Paschburg, TENDER, and Julia Church.
