Mimi Webb

British singer/songwriter Mimi Webb's aching, R&B-inflected vocals meet with deftly constructed pop production on her ear-catching songs of love and loss. Her music was given a significant push by social media, and she achieved chart success and streaming numbers in the millions before the release of her debut EP, 2021's U.K. Top Ten-charting Seven Shades of Heartbreak. In 2022, Webb previewed her debut full-length, Amelia, with the single "House on Fire"; the album arrived the following year, as did a Brit Award nomination for Best New Talent. Born Amelia Webb in Kent, England, in 2000, she was interested in music from a young age. Influenced by artists like Adele and Amy Winehouse, she attended Brighton Music College and set out to forge a career as a professional musician. She signed on with Epic Records and released her debut single, "Before I Go," in April 2020. The song was shared by American social media personality Charli D'Amelio and immediately took off, being streamed tens of millions of times in just a few months. This viral success gave way to a few more singles, and Webb's 2021 track "Good Without" cracked the Top Ten of the U.K. singles charts. In October of that year, she released her debut EP, Seven Shades of Heartbreak, which also ascended to the Top Ten of the British charts. In 2022, she again reached the U.K. Top 20 with her singles "House on Fire" and "Ghost of You," the first tracks released off her debut full-length, 2023's Amelia. Ahead of the album's release, Webb was nominated for Best New Talent at the 2023 Brit Awards. The album hit number four in the U.K. and spawned more singles, including "Red Flags," "Last Train to London (I Won't Look Back)," and "Roles Reversed." A non-album single, "Mistake," arrived in 2024.
